JR Cigar

I made my first purchase of cigars over the internet in many, many years.  I bought from JR Cigars ( https://www.jrcigars.com/ ) earlier this year.  I purchased Romeo y Julieta 1875 (Bully 5 × 50) and Perdomo 4-Pack Humidified Connecticut Sampler (1 – Perdomo Grand Cru 2006 Connecticut Toro (6”x54), 1 – Perdomo Habano Connecticut Toro (6”x54), 1 – Perdomo 10th Anniversary Champagne Epicure (6”x54), 1 – Perdomo Lot 23 Connecticut Toro (6”x54))    This was a really nice smoke with a balanced IPA.

Thyme is blooming

We bought this herb from the supermarket.  It was a "with roots" herb package.  I planted it for fun.  I mean, why not, it had roots.  It is growing and thriving with the Italian rosemary.  Growing herbs is way less work than vegetables.

Bespoke Knife Shape is Done

I started working on this last September (2019).  Boy, I am glad I didn't finish last year.  Quarantine sucks, but a good project makes it better. The shaping took a lot of time.  I have had plenty of that during the quarantine.  The kit came with four files (1 rough wood file, and three fine wood/metal files).  I was able to make a knife handle that fits my big hands.  Most scales are very thin and I grab more of my own hand.  The kit also included sand paper down to 600 grit to finish.  I wish I would have had some stain on hand to put a proper dark tone to the handle, but I left it natural. The leather sheath was wet formed to the knife and left in its natural color tone too.

GoT House Tyrell Clynelish Researve

This is definitely the drink for the Queen of Thorns.  This Scotch has a mineral bite that is the first on the tongue.  Not a lot if smoke or pray.  A nice caramel balance after the mineral bite.

AVO Fogata

Need to give it a try before deciding on the appropriate drink.  Wound up drinking Maker's Mark for its sweetness with this cigar.
